I told my brother I'd help him organize his garage this weekend but honestly I'm not sure where to start. He's got boxes stacked everywhere from when they moved in two years ago and it's just become this catch-all space. I was thinking we could sort everything into three piles keep donate and toss. The key is to be ruthless about it. If he hasn't touched something in a year it's probably safe to let it go. We'll need some shelves and maybe a pegboard for the tools. His wife wants to be able to park her car in there before winter hits so that's the goal. I figure we can knock it out in a weekend if we really focus. I'll bring my label maker and some bins I have left over from my own organizing project last spring. He's got good bones in that garage just needs some structure and a plan. The funny thing is he keeps saying he'll get to it next weekend but next weekend never comes so I'm just going to show up with coffee and we'll dig in. I think once we get started he'll feel better about it. 8m3Y2de2Vi Honestly the hardest part is just getting past that initial overwhelm.

I finally finished that book my cousin recommended and I have to say I was skeptical at first but it really grew on me. The writing style took some getting used to because it jumps around in time but once I figured out the rhythm I couldn't put it down. The main character reminded me of someone we used to know actually that determination mixed with just enough stubbornness to cause problems. There's this one scene about halfway through that completely changed how I saw the whole story. I had to go back and reread some earlier chapters after that. My favorite part was the way the author described the setting you could almost feel the humidity and hear the cicadas. I'm going to pass it along to my neighbor because I think she'd really enjoy it. She's always looking for something with strong character development and this one delivers on that front. The ending surprised me which doesn't happen very often anymore. 8m3Y2de2Vi I stayed up way too late finishing it on a work night but it was worth it. Have you read anything good lately? I need another recommendation because my nightstand stack is getting low.
