Thanks for sharing the trail details with me. I looked over the route you sent and it looks like a great option for a day hike. The distance is about seven miles with some steady climbs but nothing too strenuous. I think we should meet at the parking area by 630 in the morning so we can start before the sun gets high. I will bring a backpack with extra water and some snacks for the group. The forecast shows clear skies and a high near 70 which should be perfect. I will also pack a small first aid kit just in case. Let me know if you want to bring your camera because there are some nice overlooks along the way. I can also pick up some supplies from the store tonight if needed. Let me know what time works best for you and if you want to grab coffee afterward. I am really looking forward to this outing and I think it will be a nice break from the usual routine. Let me know if there is anything else you want to add to the plan.

I also checked the park rules and they allow leashed pets so feel free to bring your dog if you want. I know she loves being on the trail. The parking fee is five dollars so bring some cash. I will bring a map and a compass as a backup even though the trail is well marked. I think we will have a good time and the weather should cooperate nicely. Let me know if you need me to adjust anything in the schedule.

I spent the afternoon working on the kitchen cabinet refinishing project. The sanding is complete and I applied the first coat of primer to the upper cabinets. The color we picked for the lower cabinets is going to look great once it is fully dry. I did notice a small crack in the corner of one of the door panels that needs to be filled before painting. I will pick up some wood filler from the store tomorrow. The hardware arrived and the brushed nickel handles are exactly what we wanted. I think we should also consider replacing the hinges since they are showing signs of wear. The project is moving along faster than I expected. I might be able to start on the trim work by the end of the week. Let me know if you have any other suggestions for the space. I am happy with how it is turning out so far and I think the final result will be worth all the effort. I will send you some progress pictures tonight when I get a chance to take a few shots.

I also measured the backsplash area again and we will need about twelve square feet more material than we originally planned to accommodate the pattern we chose. The grout color we selected should work well with the slate tiles. If you have time this weekend could you pick up the paint samples from the hardware store. I want to compare them in natural light before committing to a final color. The overall timeline is still on track for completion by the end of next month. Let me know what you think about the hinge replacement idea.
