Hi there — thanks for the note about the community garden plot assignment. I think we should go with the raised bed layout near the south fence since it gets the most afternoon light. I checked the soil composition last weekend and it's mostly clay with decent drainage, so we'll need to amend it with compost before planting. I can bring a truckload of organic compost from the supplier on Saturday morning if that works for you. Also, the volunteer schedule is filling up faster than expected — we have about eight people confirmed for the first workday. Let me know if you want me to coordinate the tool list or if you'd rather handle that part. I was thinking we could start with tomatoes, peppers, and herbs in the first phase, then add root vegetables later in the season. The water catchment system should be installed before the end of the month to take advantage of the spring rains. I'll send over the updated plot map later this evening.

Thanks for asking about the weekend hike route — I checked the trail conditions yesterday and the north ridge loop is still pretty muddy in sections, so I think we should stick to the eastern path that follows the creek. It adds about a mile but the footing is much more stable and there are some good spots to stop for lunch. I was thinking we could meet at the trailhead parking lot around 7:30 AM to get an early start before the afternoon heat. I'll bring some snacks and plenty of water, and if you want to bring that portable stove we can make coffee at the midpoint overlook. The forecast looks clear but I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if anything changes. Also, I reserved the group shelter at the base for the afternoon in case anyone wants to stick around and relax afterward. Let me know if that timeline works for you or if you need to adjust the meeting time.
