I finally finished that book you recommended last month and I have to say the ending really caught me off guard. I thought I had figured out where the story was going but the last few chapters completely changed my perspective on the main character. The writing style took some getting used to at first because it shifts between timelines pretty frequently but once I got into the rhythm of it I couldn't put it down. I stayed up way too late on a weeknight just to finish the last hundred pages. I'm thinking about picking up another book by the same author to see if their other work has a similar feel.
