I just got back from the hike you recommended. The trail was in great condition, not too muddy even after the rain last week. We saw a family of deer near the creek about halfway through. I completely forgot how good it feels to be out in the woods for a few hours. We packed a simple lunch, but next time I'll bring better snacks. Thanks again for the suggestion. Anyway, I was also looking into that book club you mentioned. It sounds like a fun way to meet some new people in the area. Let me know when the next meeting is and I'll try to make it. I started that new series on your advice too. The first three episodes are a bit slow, but it really picks up after that. I'm already halfway through the second season. It's definitely filling the void left by that other show we finished last month. Hope you're having a great week so far.

I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent over the weekend. It turned out pretty well, although I think I added a bit too much garlic. The sauce was really rich and hearty, perfect for the cooler weather we have been having. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. It was a hit with everyone at the table. I'm definitely going to keep that one in the rotation. Also, I saw your photos from the farmers market. The produce looked amazing. I need to start going earlier on Saturdays before everything sells out. I wanted to ask you about that home project you finished last summer. We are finally tackling our backyard and I remember you mentioned a good place to get soil and mulch in bulk. Any tips on what we should plant? We have a mix of sun and shade back there. I'm thinking of putting in some native shrubs and maybe a small veggie patch. Would love to hear your thoughts when you get a chance.
