Yeah, the trail was a lot muddier than I expected after that rain last night. We had to turn back before reaching the summit because the fog rolled in so thick you couldn't see ten feet ahead. Still, it was nice to get out of the house for a bit and actually breathe some fresh air. I think we covered about seven miles total, which isn't bad for a spontaneous afternoon hike. Let me know if you want to try that route next Saturday, just maybe with better boots and a map app that actually works offline. I heard the view from the top is incredible on a clear day. I finally tried that place on Elm Street you kept mentioning. The cold brew was solid, really smooth and not too bitter. They have this little back patio with string lights and it's super chill, even for a Tuesday afternoon. I brought a book but ended up just people-watching for an hour. The barista recommended their seasonal pastry, which was decent too. Anyway, we should definitely go there next time you're in town, maybe catch up properly without our phones buzzing every five minutes. It's nice to find a spot that doesn't blast loud music so you can actually have a conversation.
