I finally got around to checking out that new hiking trail you mentioned last month. The weather was perfect on Saturday morning so I figured why not just go for it. Took me about an hour to drive there but honestly it was worth every minute. The trail was well marked and the views from the summit were absolutely stunning. I sat up there for a while just taking it all in. There were hardly any other people around which was nice. On the way down I found this quiet little spot by a creek with a fallen log that made a perfect bench. I ended up staying there reading for another hour. Next time I'll bring a proper lunch though I only packed some granola bars and an apple this time. Let me know if you'd like to go together sometime I think you'd really enjoy the hike. We could make a whole day of it and stop at that cafe you like on the way back.
