Hey I finally tried that new coffee shop on Elm Street you mentioned. Honestly the pour over was really good smooth not bitter at all. I went with Sarah on Saturday morning and we ended up staying for almost two hours just catching up. The vibe is super relaxed and there is this big window facing the park. I think you would like the cold brew too it has this subtle chocolate note. Anyway let me know if you want to go there next weekend instead of the usual spot. I am free Sunday afternoon if that works for you. Also I started reading that book you recommended the one about the botanical explorer. I am only a few chapters in but the writing is beautiful. The way the author describes the landscapes makes you feel like you are right there in the rainforest. I will let you know when I finish it. Hope you are doing well.
I also wanted to mention that the new bakery on Main Street has these amazing sourdough loaves. I picked one up yesterday and it was still warm when I got home. We had it with dinner and it was perfect. Let me know if you want me to grab one for you next time I go.

Thanks for the update on the community garden project. I think the plan for the raised beds looks solid and I am happy to help with the construction next Saturday. I have got a cordless drill and a circular saw I can bring. The soil delivery should arrive Friday afternoon according to the latest email from the supplier. I also reached out to the local nursery about donating some perennial starters and they said they would contribute a few flats of lavender and black eyed Susans. I will swing by Friday morning to pick them up. By the way I saw your photos from the hiking trip the view from the ridge looks incredible. Which trail did you take to get up there. I have been meaning to explore that area more. Let me know if you want to go again sometime I know a great spot for lunch nearby. Anyway I will text you Friday evening to confirm the garden plans. See you then.
Also I wanted to ask about your sourdough starter. I tried making one from scratch last week and it turned out okay but not as bubbly as yours. Do you have any tips for feeding ratios or water temperature. I have been using filtered water and a mix of bread flour and spelt. It doubles in size but takes almost twelve hours. Maybe I need to keep it in a warmer spot. Let me know what you think.
