Yeah I totally get what you mean about the renovation delays.
We had a similar issue with our kitchen remodel last spring.
The cabinets took an extra six weeks because of some port backup or something.
Anyway we ended up using that extra time to repaint the living room ourselves which actually turned out pretty great.
Let me know if you want the paint color code we used. Its a warm gray not too cool.
Hope your project wraps up soon! By the way did you end up going with the quartz countertops or the granite?
We were torn between the two for ages. The quartz has been super low maintenance so far and it looks just as good as the day it was installed.
Let me know if you need a good contractor for the finishing touches I can send you the number of the guy who did our trim work.

Oh thats a good question about the hiking trail we did last weekend.
We went to the one near Pine Ridge the Eagle Crest Loop.
Its about 7 miles round trip moderate difficulty but the views at the top are absolutely worth it.
There is a creek about halfway through where you can refill water.
We saw a family of deer near the summit.
Id recommend starting early to avoid the afternoon heat.
Let me know if you want me to send you the exact GPS coordinates for the trailhead parking.
Also make sure to wear good grip shoes the last mile gets a bit rocky.
We stopped at a little bakery on the way back that had amazing sourdough if you are interested.
