Oh I totally forgot to respond earlier. The hiking trail you mentioned last week was incredible. We went on Saturday morning and the views were absolutely worth the early start. I think we covered about 8 miles total with some pretty steep sections near the midpoint. Definitely bringing better hiking boots next time though. My feet were killing me by the end. Also, about the book you recommended — I finally picked up a copy from the library. The first few chapters are a bit slow but I can see why you said it picks up after page 50. I'll reserve judgment until I finish it but so far the character development is really strong. Have you read anything else by that author? I'm always looking for new suggestions especially if they have that same pacing.
