I think the best way to tackle the garden project is to start with the soil condition. We ran a test last week and the pH is a bit high. I would do a slow amendment over the next month. Add some organic matter and maybe a little sulfur. It will take time but the results will be much better than quick fixes. Also check with the local nursery about their bulk compost delivery.

About the book club choice – I finished reading that historical nonfiction you suggested. It was much better than I expected. The way the author wove personal letters into the narrative made the period come alive. I think we should add it to our list for next month’s discussion. Let me know what you think of the pacing.
