I finally got the car back from the shop. The transmission fluid was low, but they topped it off and it is running smooth now. They also rotated the tires and checked the brakes. It cost a bit more than I was hoping for, but what can you do. At least it is safe and reliable again. I think I am going to take it on a road trip next month up the coast. I am planning to stop at a few little towns along the way and try some local food spots. Let me know if you have any good playlists for driving or podcasts that make the time fly by. I joined a local community garden this year and just planted my first batch of tomatoes and peppers. The soil in the raised beds was really well prepared by the previous group, so I am hoping for a good harvest. I also put in some basil and cilantro. The garden is just a few blocks from my apartment, so I can walk over and water everything in the evenings. It has been really nice meeting the other gardeners too. Everyone is so generous with their tips and extra seedlings. I am already planning what to plant in the fall. Maybe some kale and carrots.
