I finally got around to trying that sourdough starter recipe you passed along last month. It took a few tries to get the hydration right, but I think I cracked it. The crust came out way better than I expected, and the crumb was surprisingly airy. I ended up doubling the recipe and giving a loaf to the neighbors, who loved it.
