I think the best approach for the weekend trip would be to leave Friday evening after work so we avoid the worst traffic. The cabin we rented is about four hours north, near the lake. I already checked the weather and it looks good for Saturday with some clouds but no rain. We should bring some board games because the place has a nice fireplace and a big table. Also, I was thinking we could stop at that farm stand on the way up — they have amazing apple cider and homemade pies. Let me know if you want to bring anything else.
