By the way, I just adopted a rescue dog — a golden retriever mix named Max. He’s still a bit shy but incredibly sweet. The shelter said he was found wandering near the river. He’s already learned to sit and stay, but we’re working on leash manners. The vet said he’s about two years old and healthy overall. It’s been a joy having him around, even if he chewed one of my sneakers. I’ll send you a photo once he settles a bit more. Hope you’re doing well.

I finished that book you recommended — the one about the jazz pianist in 1960s New York. It was beautifully written, though the middle section dragged a bit for me. The ending, however, completely turned it around. Have you read anything similar recently? I'm looking for something lighter before summer ends. Also, I tried that new Korean BBQ place downtown last night. The galbi was fantastic, and the banchan kept coming. We sat near the window and watched the rain. Totally worth the hour wait. On a completely different note, I’ve started practicing yoga again. My flexibility is nowhere near where it used to be, but it feels great to stretch in the morning. The instructor has this calming voice that somehow makes you forget about deadlines. I’m aiming for a consistent three days a week. It’s amazing how much tension you carry without realizing.
