I was just telling my neighbor about that hiking trail we tried last weekend. Honestly I think it was harder than we expected but the view at the top made it all worth it. She was asking about parking and whether we needed permits so I walked her through the whole process. I also mentioned that little cafe we stopped at on the way back — the one with the really good pie. She said she might take her kids this spring when things dry out a bit. I thought about going again too but maybe an easier route next time. Anyway I told her I'd send over the map link when I get home. Have you been back there since we went? I keep meaning to but weekends have been so full lately. Maybe we should plan another trip soon before it gets too hot out on the trail.

I ran into Sarah at the grocery store yesterday and she told me about the book club she started. She said they meet every other Tuesday at the community center and are currently reading a mystery novel set in Scotland. I told her I might be interested and she gave me the email list to join. She also mentioned that her daughter just got accepted into the art program at the college downtown. I was really happy for her. We chatted for maybe twenty minutes near the produce section and then she had to go pick up her son from practice. It was nice catching up since I hadn't seen her in a few months. I think I'll try to make the next book club meeting if my schedule allows.
