I just finished reorganizing my bookshelf and I can't believe how many books I've collected over the years. I found a few old favorites that I had completely forgotten about. It was like finding hidden treasures. I spent the whole afternoon just flipping through them and reminiscing. The best part was when I came across a signed copy my friend gave me back in college. I need to send them a message and thank them again. Anyway, what were you saying about your weekend plans? Did you end up going to that new cafe you mentioned last week? I've heard their pastries are incredible. I'm always looking for good places to work from outside the house. Let me know how it is if you went. I also started watching that documentary series everyone's been talking about. It's really well done but I'm only two episodes in so no spoilers please!

Oh I totally forgot to tell you about the garage sale I went to last weekend. It was this huge neighborhood sale and I picked up some really nice ceramic bowls for almost nothing. The woman selling them said they were handmade by her aunt who used to be a potter. I love finding things with a story behind them. I also found an old board game that I played as a kid. I had to buy it just for the nostalgia. The box is a little beat up but all the pieces are there. Maybe we can play it sometime if you're interested. I know it's kind of silly but those simple games are always the most fun. By the way I tried that recipe you sent me. It turned out pretty good although I think I added too much salt. I'll get it right next time. Have you been to that new park on the east side yet? I walked through there the other day and the landscaping is beautiful. They have these winding paths and a little pond with ducks. It's really peaceful in the morning before it gets crowded. You should check it out when you have a free afternoon.
