Hey, just got back from that road trip we were talking about. We ended up taking the coastal route instead of the interstate and it made such a difference. The views were incredible, especially around sunset. We stopped at a few random towns along the way, grabbed some amazing seafood at a tiny place we never would have found otherwise. The weather was perfect the whole time, sunny but not too hot. We took tons of photos, I'll have to share them with you when I get them sorted. The whole trip took about ten days and we covered around two thousand miles. Definitely one of the best trips I've taken in a while. Let me know when you're free and I can tell you more about it.

We finally decided to adopt a kitten from the local shelter last weekend. We went in just to look around, but there was this little gray tabby that just wouldn't stop purring whenever we held her. We filled out the application right there. The shelter staff was really helpful in explaining her background and what she might need. She's about four months old, very playful but also loves to just curl up on your lap. We're still figuring out a name for her. The first few nights she was a bit restless, but now she's getting used to the routine. Our older cat is slowly warming up to her too.
