I was thinking about our conversation last week regarding the hiking trail. I checked out the map for the Blue Ridge loop and it's actually not as long as we thought. Only about 6 miles round trip with moderate elevation gain. Should be perfect for a Saturday morning if the weather holds up. Let me know what you think. I also looked into those portable water filters you mentioned. They have some really good reviews online, especially the ones that filter out protozoa and bacteria. Might be a worthwhile investment for the trip.
