I checked the trail conditions for the weekend and the eastern route should be fine if we start early. The park service posted an update about some downed branches near the second overlook but nothing blocking the path. We should bring trekking poles because there are a few stream crossings where the rocks might be slippery. I packed extra snacks and a portable filter so we can refill at the creek midway. The group size is good with six people because that keeps us nimble on the narrower sections. Let me know if anyone wants to adjust the pace since we have a few folks who haven't done this distance before. I think we will have a solid day out there.

I looked into the community center availability for our monthly meeting and the calendar shows the large room is open on the third Tuesday.
