Hi Scott, thanks for your note about the garden project this weekend. I think we should plan to start Saturday morning around eight if that works for everyone. I can bring the extra tools we talked about—the tiller and the pruning shears. I also have a bag of compost that I was going to use for my own beds, but I can bring that along too if needed. Let me know if you want me to pick up any soil amendments from the nursery on the way. I was thinking we could focus on the raised beds first since they need the most work, then move to the perennial border in the afternoon. The weather looks like it will cooperate with clear skies and mild temperatures. I will also bring some work gloves and a few extra stakes just in case. Let me know what you think about the timing and if anyone else is joining us.

Hi again—wanted to follow up on the hike we talked about for next Saturday. I think the Ridgeline Trail is a good choice because it is not too long and has some nice viewpoints along the way. We could meet at the main trailhead parking lot around seven in the morning to avoid the heat. I can bring some trail mix and extra water bottles for everyone. Let me know if you want to make it a longer loop by adding the connector trail—it adds maybe another mile and a half. Also I wanted to ask if you have a preference on pace. I am happy to go steady or take breaks for photos. Let me know what gear you think we will need and if anyone else is planning to come along. I can also check on trail conditions closer to the day and send a note.
