Oh, I totally get what you mean. We had the same confusion last month. My sister was asking about the best approach for introducing a new pet to their older dog, and I remembered reading that slow introductions with scent swapping work best. It took about two weeks, but now they're inseparable. I also mentioned that the rescue group they adopted from usually provides a fact sheet for transitions. They found it really helpful. Anyway, I hope that gives you some ideas. Let me know if you want me to forward the guide I sent her. It's just a simple PDF with step-by-step instructions. No pressure, though. I know everyone's situation is different. Happy to chat more when you're free. Take care!
By the way, I finally tried that sourdough starter recipe you recommended. It took a few tries to get the hydration right, but the first loaf came out beautifully. I added some rosemary and sea salt on top, and it disappeared at dinner. I think I'll stick with that one for a while.
Also, have you seen the new schedule for the farmers market this summer? They moved it to Wednesday evenings, which is much better for me since Saturdays are usually busy. I'm looking forward to the fresh peaches when they come in.
Anyway, let's catch up properly soon.

Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect from that new documentary about urban gardening. But it was really well done. They interviewed several community organizers in Detroit and showed how vacant lots were transformed into productive green spaces. It gave me some ideas for the small patch behind our apartment. I'm thinking of starting with tomatoes and peppers since they're relatively easy. My neighbor already has a compost bin and offered to share some starter soil. I'll probably start the seeds indoors next month and transplant after the last frost. The film also touched on how these gardens improve mental health and bring neighbors together. That part resonated with me given how disconnected people can feel sometimes. Anyway, if you're interested, I can send you the streaming link. It's about an hour and a half, perfect for a weekend afternoon.
Also, I finally finished that puzzle you lent me. The one with the old bookshop scene. It was challenging but relaxing. I'll drop it off next time I'm in your area.
Hope all's well with you and the family. Let's plan that hike soon before the weather gets too warm.
