Hey, just got back from the hiking trip we planned last month. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and the trails were mostly empty. We ended up taking the longer route around the lake and found this amazing spot for lunch. The water was incredibly clear. I brought that new camping stove and it worked great for making coffee. Anyway, just wanted to share some photos from the trip. Let me know if you are free next weekend to grab a bite and catch up properly. I think you would really love that trail, especially the section through the old forest. The map said it was about 3 miles but it felt longer because of the elevation. Totally worth it though. We saw a family of deer near the campsite in the evening and it was a really nice end to the day.
