Hey, I finally went to see that band you recommended, The Mercury Drops. Honestly, I was blown away. The lead singer has this incredible stage presence that just doesn't come through on the recordings. They played a bunch of new stuff too, which sounded a bit more experimental than their last album. The venue was packed, which was great to see. We got there pretty early to grab a good spot near the front. The opening act was a solo acoustic guy, which was a nice contrast. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that your recommendation was spot on. I've been listening to their discography all morning. We should definitely catch them again next time they're in town. I think they mentioned a new tour in the fall. Let me know if you want to grab a drink before the show next time! It was genuinely one of the best live shows I've seen in years. The energy in the room was electric from the first chord to the last encore.

I spent the whole weekend trying to fix that leaky faucet in the guest bathroom. I watched like five different tutorials on YouTube before I even felt comfortable attempting it. Of course, I got halfway through and realized I needed a specific size wrench I didn't own. Ran to the hardware store, got the tool, and finished the job. It wasn't actually as hard as I thought it would be, just very tedious. The hardest part was getting the old O-ring off because it was completely corroded. I ended up having to use a pick set to scrape it off. Everything is working perfectly now, no drips at all. It's so satisfying to fix something yourself and not have to pay a professional. I'm actually looking for another small project around the house now. Maybe I'll finally build that bookshelf I've been planning for the living room. How's your apartment renovation going? Let me know if you need any help with the painting.
