Yeah we can definitely get the kitchen cabinets painted before the weekend. I think two coats of primer and then two coats of the color should be enough to cover the existing stain. We will need to sand lightly between each coat though to keep it smooth. I already picked up the brushes and rollers from the hardware store. If we start Saturday morning we should be done by Sunday afternoon easy. Just make sure the room is well ventilated and we lay down drop cloths because it will get a bit messy. Let me know if you want to grab lunch on Saturday.

I think having everyone over next Friday would work well. Usually about eight to ten people confirm by midweek so that should give us enough time to prepare. I was thinking we could do a simple menu with some appetizers and maybe a main dish that can be made ahead of time. Let me know if anyone has dietary restrictions I should know about. I will send out a message to the group to get a headcount by Wednesday. It should be a nice relaxed evening and I am looking forward to catching up with everyone.
