Week 19, 04 May to 10 May 2026

National Syndromic Surveillance Summary:

During week 19, there was rising numbers of NHS 111 triaged calls and online assessments for diarrhoea, particularly in the 15-44 year age group, and increases in GP out of hours daily contacts for gastroenteritis, diarrhoea and vomiting.  Despite a small increase in the consultation rates for upper respiratory infection in the GP in hours syndromic surveillance system, consultation rates for acute respiratory infection indicators were otherwise stable.
