Regarding the community garden plot layout you asked about, I think the raised beds should run north to south to maximize sunlight exposure for the tomatoes and peppers. The soil mix we used last year worked well so I would recommend the same ratio of compost and topsoil. The irrigation lines need to be laid before planting so we can bury them under the mulch layer. I picked up some marigold seeds to plant around the perimeter since they help deter pests naturally. Let me know if you need help setting up the trellis for the pole beans this weekend.

The shelf arrangement in the pantry could work better if we group the baking items together on the middle tier. I measured the depth and the mixing bowls should fit on the lower shelf without any issue. The spice rack I ordered arrives on Wednesday and it mounts to the inside of the door so that will free up quite a bit of space. Let me know if you want me to pick up some clear storage bins for the dry goods since those stack neatly and keep everything visible. We can label them with the chalk tags we used for the garage.
