HSE ebulletin

Issued: 13 May 2026

This ebulletin contains information on regulating biocides in Great Britain (GB).

Tell us about your experience of GB BPR

Deadline: 10am on 18 May 2026

HSE would like your input on a survey about the costs of complying with GB BPR.

Biocides regulated under the GB Biocidal Products Regulation (GB BPR) are within scope of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Agreement currently being negotiated between the UK government and the European Union.

To inform the analysis of the impacts of this agreement, HSE has launched a survey on the costs associated with GB BPR compliance.

We are interested in your experience of the costs incurred related to a range of activities such as:

  • generating data and compiling dossiers for active substance applications
  • generating data and compiling dossiers for biocidal products applications
  • keeping track of HSE assessments of those submissions

Visit the survey and submit your response by 10am on 18 May 2026.

Please note this survey is separate from the 6-week UK-EU SPS Agreement: Call for Information that closed on 23 April 2026.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
