Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. I had a similar experience at a conference last year where the WiFi just kept dropping during a live demo. It was pretty frustrating, but we ended up switching to a wired backup and it actually went smoother than expected. Anyway, I told the organizers about it afterwards and they were super receptive. They even invited me to speak again next year. It's funny how these technical hiccups sometimes lead to better connections in the long run, right? Let me know if you want me to put you in touch with their IT guy—he was really on top of things once we flagged the issue. Hope your week is going well otherwise! Talk soon.

Oh, and I nearly forgot — the lunch they catered was incredible. They had this local BBQ vendor that did brisket tacos with a cilantro lime crema. I've been trying to find a recipe that comes close but no luck yet. If you end up talking to their events team, definitely ask who they used for food. Anyway, let me know what you think about the IT connection. Happy to make an introduction if it helps.
Hey, just circling back on your question about the hike we did last weekend. The trailhead is about 45 minutes north of the city, right off the main highway. The first mile is a bit steep, but after that it opens up into this beautiful meadow with views of the entire valley. We packed a light lunch and just sat there for an hour soaking it in. There's a stream about halfway up where the dogs can cool off, so definitely bring them along. I'd recommend starting early, like 7 AM, to avoid the afternoon heat and the crowds. The parking lot fills up fast. Let me know if you want to borrow my hiking poles or the portable grill. We're planning to go again next month if you and your family want to join!

Also, I finally tried that new brewery that opened downtown — the one near the old train station. They have a hazy IPA that's honestly one of the best I've had in a while. The food truck situation is solid too; they had a Korean-Mexican fusion taco truck that was incredible. Let me know if you want to grab a pint there sometime this week or next. I'm free Thursday evening if that works for you. Either way, let me know!
