Ace Hardware Member Notice
I meant to reply sooner, but the week got away from me and I kept thinking I had already sent this note.

I ended up taking the long route through the park yesterday, and it was surprisingly worth the extra time because everything felt quieter there. I brought a book with me, though I barely read more than a few pages before I got distracted watching people walk their dogs. That probably sounds lazy, but honestly it felt restorative in a way I didn’t expect.

I also tried that pasta recipe you mentioned. Mine turned out a little too soft, so I need another attempt, but the flavor was still good enough that I’d make it again. If you send the version you use, I’ll compare notes. I think I may have rushed the simmering step.

Anyway, I’m around later this week if you want to catch up for a bit. I’ve been overdue for an easy conversation and would gladly make time.

Thank you for choosing Ace Hardware.
I was thinking about your question from the other day and realized the answer is probably much simpler than I made it seem.

I usually do better when I keep a short list and focus on one thing at a time instead of trying to be efficient with everything at once. When I don’t do that, I end up starting five tasks, finishing none, and then wondering why the afternoon disappeared. It sounds obvious, but I still have to remind myself.

I’ve also been trying to go outside for a few minutes before getting into the rest of the day. Even a brief walk around the block helps clear my head and makes me less likely to drift between distractions. If the weather cooperates, I may keep that habit going.

Let me know how your week is shaping up. I should have a quieter evening soon, and I’d like to hear what you’ve been working on lately because it’s been a while since we had a real catch-up.
