Ace Hardware Member Notice
I meant to reply earlier, but I got sidetracked after stepping away for a few minutes.
Things settled down once I wrote the list out and handled them one by one instead of trying to remember everything at once.
I usually think I can keep details straight in my head, and then I forget the smallest part and have to circle back later.
Next time I will probably just note it down immediately and save myself the extra trouble.
I did end up finishing the errand, and it took less time than I expected after I finally got moving.
The weather was strangely calm, which helped, and I even had a little time to tidy up afterward.
I am glad you checked in, because that reminder pushed me to actually wrap it up instead of letting it drift into tomorrow.
If you still want me to handle the other part, send it over and I can look at it later tonight.

I finally got around to sorting the shelf in the hallway, and it took much less thinking than I had built up in my mind.
Most of the clutter was just paper, a couple cords, and one notebook I kept setting down in the wrong place every few days.
Once I started, I realized I really only needed two piles and a trash bag, and then the whole thing felt manageable.
I also found the pen I thought I lost last week, which was sitting inside the notebook the whole time.
I know that sounds obvious now, but I looked for it everywhere except there.
Afterwards I made tea and sat down for a minute, and the room felt noticeably calmer with that corner cleared out.
If you are still planning to do your own cleanup this weekend, I would start with the smallest spot first, because finishing one area gave me enough momentum to keep going much longer than I expected.
