Ace Hardware Member Update
I finally tried that routine we talked about, and it turned out to be simpler than I expected.
I started by keeping the first step almost too easy, because I knew I would quit if it felt like a huge project right away.
After a few days it stopped feeling awkward and just became part of the morning.
I also moved a few things around so I would not forget, which helped more than any reminder on my phone.
What surprised me was how much better the whole day felt once I stopped rushing the beginning of it.
I am still changing little details here and there, but the basic version is working.
If you want, I can write out exactly what I did in the order I do it now.
There is nothing fancy about it, just a couple of choices that make it easier to stay consistent instead of trying to be perfect every single day.

I looked into that idea a little more after your note, and I think your first instinct was right.
The easiest version is probably better than building a complicated plan that no one wants to keep up with.
I had a similar problem last month where I kept reorganizing everything instead of finishing one simple step.
Once I stopped trying to improve the whole process at once, the work actually moved.
That was a useful reminder for me because I tend to overthink the setup and then lose energy for the real task.
If you are free later this week, I can send a cleaner outline with the parts that mattered and the parts that just made things harder.
I do not think it needs to be perfect to be helpful.
Sometimes getting something practical in place is enough, and then the better version naturally follows once the habit is already there.
