Crash in Cambridge leaves car mangled

A crash on Monday morning in Cambridge, Massachusetts, left two cars seriously damaged.

The crash happened along Alewife Brook Parkway, near Matignon Street.

Photos from the scene show major damage to the cars involved.

Mild and sunny start to the work week — but we're tracking rain on the way

It’ll be one of those days with crystal clear skies. A light sea breeze will keep our temperatures in the low 60s at the coast.

Head inland and some spots will push into the upper 60s. A few 70s are in the forecast, too.

We keep the cool breeze for Tuesday but throw in more clouds. That’ll be enough to hold our temperatures in the 50s.

Live updates: Iran proposes to reopen Strait of Hormuz without nuclear agreement

Iran offered to end its chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz without addressing its nuclear program, officials with knowledge of the proposal said Monday.

Iran also wants the United States to ends its blockade of the country as part of its proposal, according to the two regional officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the closed-door negotiations.

Oil prices were up Monday as a standoff between the U.S. and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz remained despite a ceasefire, while Pakistan leaders were seeking to revive stalled talks between the two countries.

Attleboro neighborhood advised to stay indoors during overnight incident

A incident overnight in Attleboro, Massachusetts, prompted police in the city to issue a stay-indoors advisory to a neighborhood until the incident was de-escalated.

Attleboro police officers said shortly before 1 a.m. that a situation on Lindsey Street was ongoing, and that residents in the immediate area should stay inside pending further notice.

By around 1:30 a.m., police said that the incident had been de-escalated and that police activity had cleared.

California home becomes central to Correspondents' Dinner shooting investigation

A neighborhood in Torrance, California was the center of an investigation overnight as law enforcement officials searched through a home that’s believed to be the residence of a man accused of shooting near the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in Washington, D.C. 

Secret service agents and the Federal Bureau of Investigation canvassed a home to secure evidence in the case against 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen. The man allegedly exchanged gunfire with law enforcement on Saturday after he rushed a security checkpoint at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, prompting President Donald Trump and other top officials to evacuate.

Celtics-Sixers recap: Pritchard stars in C's blowout Game 4 win

The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers with a lopsided 128-96 Game 4 victory at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

It was the Payton Pritchard Show on Sunday night. The former NBA Sixth Man of the Year finished with a game-high and a playoff career-high 32 points on 6-of-12 shooting from 3-point range.

Jayson Tatum also had a huge night for Boston, finishing with 30 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists.
