Sam's Club Membership Offer
I looked at the trail map again this morning and I think the northern loop makes the most sense for us.
If we start earlier, we can avoid the crowded section near the overlook and still have enough time to stop for lunch by the lake.
I also remembered that the path gets pretty rocky after the first bridge, so sturdy shoes would help a lot.
I am not worried about the distance, but I would like to keep the pace easy so nobody feels rushed.
If the weather turns windy, we can switch to the shorter route and still enjoy the view.
I can bring that extra light jacket you left here last week, and I will pack an extra water bottle too.
Let me know if you want me to text everyone tonight so the plan is settled before the morning.

I finally tried that bread recipe again, and this time the dough turned out much softer and easier to work with.
I think the trick was letting it rest longer before shaping it, because the texture changed completely after that.
I also kept the kitchen a little warmer, which seemed to help more than I expected.
Next time I might add herbs, but I wanted to get the base right first before changing anything else.
The loaf baked evenly, and the crust had that nice crisp edge without getting too hard.
I wrapped half of it and saved it for tomorrow, so if you come by in the afternoon we can toast some and have it with soup.
If you want, I can write out the steps in simpler form because the original notes were more confusing than useful.
