CVS ExtraCare Reminder
I meant to reply sooner, but the week got away from me in the usual way.
I did try that route you mentioned, and it turned out to be much calmer than the main trail. There were a few muddy patches near the stream, though, so shoes that can handle wet ground are probably the best idea. I went early and brought a thermos, which was completely worth it because the air stayed cool for longer than I expected.
I also stopped at that little corner place on the way back and finally ordered the herb sandwich everyone keeps talking about. It was actually great, mostly because the bread was still warm. Next time I think I would linger a little longer and maybe bring a notebook just to sit somewhere quiet for a while.
If you end up going this weekend, let me know how crowded it gets by late morning, because I am curious whether I just got lucky with the timing.

I finally looked at the notes from last month and realized the idea was better than I first thought.
At the time I was too tired to sort through everything, so I left it alone and came back with fresh eyes. That helped more than I expected. The whole thing feels simpler if we break it into two smaller steps and stop trying to finish it all in one sitting. I sketched out a rough version this afternoon, and even the messy draft gave me a better sense of what belongs where.
I do think the earlier suggestion about keeping the layout flexible was right. Once I stopped forcing a neat structure, the pieces started falling into place on their own. I am still changing the order around, but it already feels more natural and less cramped. If you have a little time tomorrow, send me the version you made, because I want to compare the flow and see where the pacing works best.
