James Michael Conway, 60, of Schaumburg, passed away April 16, 2026. He was born April 20, 1965, in Park Ridge, to James Henry Conway and Gail Marie Edgren. Jimmy was known for his joyful spirit and the genuine happiness he found in the everyday things. His smile was warm and contagious, and it had a way of making people feel seen. He loved watching the white truck, flipping through the Sears catalog, and of all things, vacuums. These simple things brought him real joy, and being around him reminded others to appreciate the little moments in life. His wonder and fascination for the everyday things caused others to slow down and be thankful for simplicity. Jimmy experienced the world in his own way, and because of that, he left a lasting impression on the people around him. He showed others what it looks like to be patient,
kind, and accepting. He had a quiet way of teaching us that every person has value and something meaningful to offer. He was deeply loved and cared for throughout his life by his devoted mother, Gail Edgren. Because of her, he knew unconditional love every single day. That love shaped who he was and how he connected with others. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Conway; and his sister, Theresa. He is survived by his mother, Gail Marie Edgren; his sister, Kathy Marie Conway; his stepmother, Carol Conway, and her children. Those who knew Jimmy will remember him for his smile, his joy, and the way he made people feel. His life mattered, and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. Prayer Service will be Tuesday, April 21, at 10:30am before Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:30am at
St. Hubert Church, 729 Grand Canyon St., Hoffman Estates. Private Entombment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Avenues to Independence, 515 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, IL 60068. For info, please call 847-891-2900 or visit www.michaelsfh.com.
