A Message from the PTA President
Dear Hunt Valley Families,
Thanks to Dusti Ward (and family) and the Hospitality committee for putting together this month’s teacher lounge treat. Dusti created an “Out of the Blue, Just for You” theme, complete with all things blue!
Teacher/Staff Appreciation week is fast approaching, from May 4-8. PTA will be takin’ it back old school style with a 90’s themed week of fun for the staff. Although our events have team leaders, we would love some extra help during that week with set up/break down and execution of some of the events. If you’re able to help, please email me. For those of you who also like to get a little something for your favorite teachers/staff, please check out the PTA website’s “Teachers and Staff Favorites List” for some inspiration. https://hvpta.ptboard.com/home (The school code is: KB63B8.)
Friendly reminder, tomorrow is the last day of the Purple Up Spirit Week. Tomorrow, wear red to remember everyone deployed!
As always, if you need anything, please reach out to President@huntvalleypta.org or info@huntvalleypta.org.
Sincerely,
Kacie Jones Hunt Valley PTA President

2026-2027 school year Wellness Committee Chair
The Wellness Chair coordinates with Hunt Valley staff members to plan and execute the Wellness Fair and Fun Run. PTA Wellness Chair also promotes the Pyramid Challenge, along with the coordination of our student participants. Turn over from the previous Chair and support from the Executive Board will be provided. This position can be run by Co-Chairs, also, so grab a friend and sign up! Please email president@huntvalleypta.org with interest.
2026-2027 school year Spelling Bee Committee Chair
The Spelling Bee Chair plans, promotes and executes the annual Hunt Valley Scripps Spelling Bee. Turn over from previous Chair, support from the Executive Board, Scripps program information and County PTA support are all available! This position also can be run by Co-Chairs, if there are two people interested in heading up this enrichment effort. Please email president@huntvalleypta.org with interest.
Spring Garden Clean Up
Join us this Saturday, April 18, from 9am-12pm for another garden clean up session. Please bring your own garden tools and gloves. Kids are welcome to come help. Can’t make it? We are also seeking donations of paper yard waste bags. Bags can be dropped off at the school for Ms. James or the PTA.
Spring Festival
*This is not a drop off event. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
*Adults and children under the age of 3 do not need to purchase a wristband unless they plan to participate.
*Funds from this event will go back to the PTA and help support educational enrichment opportunities for our students and offer important and valued experiences like field trips and more.
*The PTA cannot function without the help of parents and we can’t wait to see you there!
Coding Club
The Coding Club (pictured here) recently had their last session. Thanks so much to all who helped make this group a fun and educational place for our students!
