Our Favorite Steak Sandwich Recipe
About an hour before cooking, season the outside of the 3-4lb prime rib roast on all sides with our Classic Roast Seasoning. Preheat the oven to 250°F. Place the roast in a deep pan and cover with aluminum foil. Roast slowly over 2 to 3 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 110°F. Immediately reduce the oven heat to 160°F and slow cook until the roast's internal temperature reaches 135°F. Remove foil tent and carefully broil a few minutes to brown the outside. Allow to rest for 10 minutes.
Thinly slice the prime rib against the grain. Split slider rolls in half and place a dollop of Herb Garlic Steak Butter on the bottom half and add Prime Rib slices to the roll. Finish with a slice of Gruyere cheese.
Serve each slider with Horseradish Prime Sauce on the Side.
Horseradish Prime Sauce
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup prepared horseradish
Hawaiian sea salt to taste
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until combined. The sauce will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week.
