A Message from Dr. Rolon

Dear Justice Community,

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope each of you had a restful week with time to relax, recharge, and spend meaningful time with family and friends. We are excited to have everyone back and are ready to begin 4th quarter.

As we enter the final stretch of the school year, it is critical that we stay focused on finishing strong both academically and with attendance. Everyday matters. Regular, daily attendance is one of the most important factors in student success, and we need all students present, on time, and ready to learn each day.

To support our students academically and with recovering lost attendance hours, we will continue to offer Saturday School opportunities on the following dates:

  • Saturday, April 11
  • Saturday, April 18
  • Saturday, April 25
  • Saturday, May 2
  • Saturday, May 9
  • Saturday, May 16
  • Saturday, May 23
  • Saturday, May 30 (last Saturday School of the year)

Saturday School is an intervention opportunity held from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM on select Saturdays, where students can receive additional academic support, catch up on assignments, and strengthen their understanding of key content. Attending Saturday School recovers one lost day of instruction, benefiting your student and our school.

In addition, we will continue to run late buses to support after-school academic help. Students can stay after school from 3:00 – 4:30 PM for extra support. Late buses will run on Wednesdays and Thursdays through April and will expand to Monday through Thursday during May and the first week of June. Please see list of dates below.

  • April 8 & April 9
  • April 15 & April 16
  • April 22 & April 23
  • April 29 & April 30
  • Monday, May 2 – Thursday, May 7
  • Monday, May 11 – Thursday, May 14
  • Monday, May 18 – Thursday, May 21
  • Monday, June 1 – Thursday, June 5

*There are no late buses the week of May 25 due to the holidays and shortened week.

Finally, you should have or will receive today a link to a principal evaluation questionnaire from FCPS. The link will come from noreply@fcps.edu and there is more information directly below this message.

This is part of my evaluation process. I really value feedback and I would greatly appreciate you taking a couple minutes to provide me feedback on how I'm doing as principal of Justice HS. The window is open from today through April 19.

The end of the school year always brings a great deal of excitement with events, celebrations, and milestones. I look forward to closing the year strong with our amazing students, staff, and community.

Regards,

Sean Rolon, Ed.D.

Principal Evaluation Questionnaire

On Monday, April 6, parents and guardians of Justice HS will receive an email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form. Topics covered in the survey include:

✅ Instructional leadership

✅ School climate

✅ Management (human resources and organizational)

✅ Communication and community relations

✅ Culturally responsive and equitable leadership

✅ Professionalism

The questionnaire will be open April 6 - April 19 and will be collected online. When you receive the email from noreply@fcps.edu, please take a few minutes to complete it. Your input is valuable and helps shape the future of our school. Thank you for your time and feedback!

Justice HS Scholarship Fund and Partners Application - DEADLINE IS THIS WEDNESDAY

Seniors be sure to complete your application for needs-based scholarships from the JHSSF by the April 8, 2025 deadline. Last year, JHSSF awarded $310,000 in scholarships to 107 JHS seniors.
