2026 Edition of the Comprehensive Plan
The Department of Planning and Development (DPD) announces the transition from the 2017 Edition of the Comprehensive Plan, covering both the Policy Plan and Area Plans, to the new 2026 Edition. The 2026 Edition is a fully digital document hosted on the web-based platform, Encode.
This update is administrative in nature, and the edition is current through Amendment 2026-01 (Boston Boulevard–Costco, SSPA 2023-IV-4S). As with previous editions, the Comprehensive Plan will continue to be amended through the established amendment process.
Users will see references to the 2026 Edition reflected throughout the Plan and in documents such as staff reports and county memoranda or addenda. Related county webpages, including the Historic Comprehensive Plan Documents and the Completed Work Program Plan Amendments webpages, have also been updated to reflect the new edition.
