LaGuardia Airport closed after plane, rescue vehicle collide, 2 pilots dead: officials

It's Monday in New York City, where LaGuardia Airport will be closed until at least 2 p.m. today while officials investigate a deadly runway crash.

Port Authority Executive Director Kathryn Garcia said an Air Canada plane carrying 72 passengers and four crew members collided with a Port Authority vehicle on a runway late Sunday night, killing the plane's two pilots and sending 41 others on the plane to the hospital. 

While 32 individuals have since been released from the hospital, Garcia said "there are also serious injuries." Authorities said the two officers in the Port Authority vehicle are in stable condition.
