David Marks has served as your C.G. Woodson Athletic Booster President for the past three years. In his free time, he is also a Personal Injury Trial Attorney for over 25 years, litigating well over 100 jury trials and bringing in millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Marks is a lifelong Virginian - born in Fairfax Hospital, growing up in Annandale and currently resides in Fairfax, Virginia. Mr. Marks attended Annandale High School before graduating from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1994, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He then received his law degree in 1997 from the University of Richmond School of Law. Mr. Marks founded his own firm in 2004 concentrating solely on Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law and Criminal Defense.
Mr. Marks has received an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. It is the pinnacle of professional excellence earned through a strenuous Peer Review Rating process. Mr. Marks was given the honor of being elected in 2017 as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Membership in the Fellows is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by their peers and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation. Mr. Marks has been named as a “Superlawyer.” Super Lawyers selects the top 5% of attorneys in a state using a patented multiphase selection process involving peer nominations and evaluations, combined with independent research.
Mr. Marks was very active in the Fairfax Bar Association (FBA), having been elected as President of the FBA for the 2014-2015 term. He has also been elected by his fellow attorneys to serve on the Bar Council for the Virginia State Bar and is currently elected to the Board of Governors for the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Whether you graduated five years ago or fifty, it’s time to return to the Cavalier halls where it all started for an evening of nostalgia, treats, and thrilling theater.
Join The Woodson Drama Boosters in the Woodson High School Cafeteria for a special Alumni weekend pre-show reception before we head to Fleet Street for the drama department’s production of Sweeney Todd.
