3 Hour Early Release TODAY @ 1:05 PM
for Halley Elementary
Due to the impending inclement weather, Fairfax County Schools has issued a 3 hour early dismissal. Halley Elementary will begin dismissal at 1:05 PM using their normal dismissal procedures. If your child normally gets picked up at kiss and ride in the afternoon, we ask parents to arrive earlier than normal to help speed up our dismissal process.
If you will be changing your child's mode of transportation, please alert our front office staff by 12:00 PM by calling 703-551-5700. Please do NOT email your child's teacher as they will be busy monitoring students and will not have the opportunity to check email.
After-school child care is NOT available for students today unless they are a SACC student. SACC will close at 2PM today.
Please Note: All students will still have the opportunity to eat lunch before leaving.
The school building will close promptly at 1:40 PM to allow staff to commute safely home before the storm. Please note that all after-school activities are canceled for today.
