Hi Adam,
As we get closer to RenAlign starting next week, I want to speak to something we hear often.
Many people hesitate not because they don’t want support,
but because they feel pressure to do everything perfectly once they commit.
If that’s you, this email is for you.
Here are a few common concerns we hear, and how RenAlign actually works in real life.
Worry #1: “I can’t give up meat.”
You don’t have to. Yes, it may be reduced. It will definitely be personalized. And if you’re already vegan and love it - we’ll help you refine how to make it sustainable and eliminate nutrient gaps.
RenAlign follows a plant-dominant (PLADO) approach, not a vegan diet.
That means you can still include foods like chicken, fish, eggs, or dairy in small portions as they fit your nutrition needs.
What we teach is how to balance your plate so plants do most of the work, without eliminating foods you enjoy.
Worry #2: “I’ve never followed a strict diet, and I’m worried I’ll slip up.”
That makes sense. But it’s also why we don’t teach strict diets. We teach doable, YOU-able nutrition approaches that protect your kidneys.
RenAlign is about learning how to apply kidney-supportive principles, whether you’re at home, busy at work, eating out, or traveling.
One off day doesn’t undo your progress.
We focus on patterns and progress, not perfection.
Worry #3: “I don’t cook much or don’t like to cook.”
You can still make meaningful changes. Personalization means we help you work with:
- grocery store options
- simple prep or assembly-only meals like sandwiches with veggie sticks and dip, smoothies, or salad kits with extra nuts and seeds for mineral support
- convenience foods that are kidney-supportive
- pantry and freezer staples
- restaurant and takeout choices
Cooking skill or time is not a requirement to benefit from this program. Curiosity and a willingness to learn and experiment no matter your circumstance is what is required!
Because this isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about building a structure that works with the life you already have.
Worry #4: “I cook for my whole family. I don’t want to make separate meals.”
You usually don’t need to. If you do, we’ll help make it simple. We encounter this a lot and so our dietitians will help work through key strategies to make preparing meals for a whole family as easy as possible for you!
Most family meals can work with small shifts rather than separate dishes.
We often recommend build-your-own meals like taco nights, bowls, or stir-fries.
Your plate might prioritize beans, vegetables, whole grains, and maybe lighter animal portions, all while still sharing the same meal.
The most important thing to know
RenAlign is about figuring out your doable, YOU-able strategy based on YOUR life, YOUR labs, YOUR preference. We know nutrition works to improve your function. We know it works for increasing energy.
But information alone doesn’t create clarity — structure does.
Without a clear framework, it’s easy to stay in research mode… trying your best, yet still wondering if you’re missing something or waiting for labs to tell you if you guessed right.
Our job is to remove that uncertainty and give you a step-by-step plan you can trust.
If you’ve been holding back because changing your diet feels like a big commitment, that’s understandable. But really, the only commitment you need is a willingness to try. We’ll guide you through the rest — one clear step at a time.
RenAlign starts March 19, and this is your last call to reserve your spot!
