Most hardware projects don’t need to start from a blank canvas.
Instead of rebuilding common circuits, you can start from designs that already work and customize them. Flux includes a growing library of reference designs, templates, example projects, and reusable modules that can save hours of setup time.
Here are a few ways to move faster:
Start from a reference design
Instead of dropping in a bare microcontroller and wiring everything manually, start from a reference design that already includes the required circuitry, power regulation, crystals, USB, boot circuits, and more.
Use manufacturer templates
Templates for manufacturers like JLCPCB and PCBWay include preconfigured design rules, so you avoid DRC issues later when preparing your board for fabrication.
Fork public projects that you like
Flux has many complete open projects you can fork, explore, and modify. It’s one of the fastest ways to understand how a working design is built.
Drop in reusable modules
Need a relay driver, charging circuit, or GPS interface? Search the component library for modules (sublayouts) and add them directly to your design.
If you're not leveraging existing designs yet, you're probably reinventing the wheel.
