We took a break from the office on Monday this week and got together for our annual staff development day. It’s a chance for us to work on new ideas for the year ahead, chat to some of our senior management and do a bit of a reset. We had a great day and are refreshed and ready to get stuck back in.
This week we paid a visit to a site in Moss Vale where Sydney company Cloud Carrier plans to build one of the state’s largest gas-fired power stations just to power a data processing complex. As the state looks to build more of these centres, it shows just how enormous their energy needs are.
And the future looks good for the Bundaleer Community Centre in Warrawong. A charity art auction featuring works donated by Ben Quilty and Ken Done helped raise $65,000 for the centre to keep doing its important work.
Have a great week, and remember, if you have a story idea drop an email to 973@your.abc.net.au.
