Hi Lot,
It’s Kevin.
Welcome to March.
In psychology, there is a concept called the "Fresh Start Effect." It's the reason why we feel a sudden burst of motivation on Mondays, on our birthdays, or on the first day of a new month.
Our brains love to compartmentalize time. When a new month starts, your brain automatically takes the failures and slip-ups of February and files them away in the "Past" folder.
Today, your mental slate is wiped clean.
But a clean slate doesn't last long if you put the same old clutter right back on it. If you walk into March doing the exact same things you did in February, this motivation will fade by Wednesday.
Use this natural burst of energy today to change one physical thing in your environment. Clean off your desk. Put your running shoes by the door. Delete the apps that drain your time.
Clear the physical space, and the mental space will follow.
Make today count.
