You're doing better financially than you might think

Hey zxcv, it’s Mark.

I remember leaving school at 16 without a penny in my pocket.

I was earning less than $2 an hour working day and night just to try and make ends meet.

I wanted to be rich so badly, but felt like it was never going to happen to me. Little did I know, there were some signs I was going to do well, I just didn’t see them.

So if you have one of these signs, you’re probably doing far better financially than you might first think:

1) You Prioritise Buying Assets When Possible

If you’ve recently paused before buying something and asked yourself “will this bring money into my life or drain it away?” then you’re on the right track.

We’re constantly living on a seesaw. On one side, we’ve got fancy cars, designer clothes, and unnecessary gadgets. On the other side, we’ve got rental properties, stocks and side hustles.

By buying up lots of long-term assets, you can easily set yourself up financially for the rest of your life.

Even if you invest a small amount of money into assets now, it will compound over time and your future self will thank you.

2) You have a big experience paycheck

Have a think about all the things you’ve been learning in your job or side hustle.

Maybe you aren’t earning as much as you’d like right now, but you’re probably building your unfair advantage, which will allow you to unlock wealth later on.

An unfair advantage is a skill that is unique to you, that puts you in a better position than anyone else to handle certain tasks, jobs or skills.

It’s like a secret superpower that sets you apart from anyone else.

If you’re not earning much money right now, it doesn’t mean you’re not making progress.

As long as you’re gaining experience, it’s like building an unseen bank balance that you can choose to cash in whenever you’re ready!

3) You have a North Star

A North Star is an end goal. A goal so high in the sky that you question its reach, but you know that with effort and determination you can get there.

I strongly believe that everyone needs a North Star in their life. It’s the best way to build courage, drive, and self-discipline.

My first ever North Star was becoming a millionaire. I didn’t know how or when I would get there but eventually I did.
