Stoked to finally get CineFlow out into the world and see how you put it to work.
Our engineer Esteban is the real chef behind this filter. He saw the creative team experimenting with shutter dragging and wanted to turn that idea into a physical optical element that delivers a dynamic sense of motion, but only across half the frame.
We poured multiple lens molds before locking the final optical design. The result is something totally unique, and paired with the Helix MagLock system, it’s an absolute creative weapon.
Neight, Kev, CJ, Esteban, and I have been shooting with CineFlow
for the last three months.
Here are the key takeaways:
1. Focal length: 35mm to 400mm
• Wider focal lengths create a more dramatic effect
• Longer focal lengths make the effect more abstract and nuanced
2. Aperture: f1.2 to f4
• Anything past f4 loses the smooth transition and becomes harsher
3. Rotate the filter per scene
• Rotation completely changes the vibe and energy of a shot
CineFlow captures familiar subjects in a totally different way. It’s honestly reignited my passion for shooting cars, skiing, and surf all over again.
Grab CineFlow and get out there to collect some nectar.
