Dear Colleague,

Let me say this plainly:

Most clinicians don’t plateau because they “don’t know enough.”

They plateau because they were never given a clinical decision structure.

FMU teaches this as a structured clinical operating system—so you’re not guessing.

That shows up differently depending on where you are:

If you’re NEW to functional medicine

You’re likely thinking:

  • “I don’t know where to start.”
  • “I’m overwhelmed by testing and protocols.”
  • “I’m afraid I’m missing something important.”

You don’t need more random content.

You need a roadmap.

If you’re EXPERIENCED / already trained

You’re likely thinking:

  • “I know the systems.”
  • “I can run labs.
  • But my hardest patients improve… then flare… then stall—and I can’t predict what will trigger them.

You don’t need more protocols.

You need sequencing and readiness so good protocols are better tolerated.

FMU was rebuilt to solve both problems with a single architecture:
readiness → sequencing → systems execution.

In plain English: first make sure the body is ready to repair, then choose the next step in the right order, and only then run systems protocols like gut, hormones, immune, and detox.

Tomorrow, I’ll name the plateau pattern precisely (you’ll recognize it immediately).

With respect,

P.S. Tomorrow I’ll explain why patients often get better, then worse—and the small change that helps prevent that.
